Duramax Conversion.

Hey all, im getting ready to put a duramax into a 03 yukon. The donor is a 03 lb7. I know i need to switch the harness, instrument cluster, pcm, tcm, but what im curious about is do you need to change the harness under the dash and the body control module, and also is there any alterations to the harness. Any help or resources would be great appreciated.

The best place I've found for info is the dieselplace frankenstien forum.

Is the yukon a 3/4ton? If not, be prepared to do some cutting to get the dmax to bolt into the frame. The 1500 frames are different than the 2500/3500 frames and IIRC the Tahoe is different than a regular 1500 frame.

The Duramax parts will bolt into a 2500 Suburban...I thought about building one, but decent 2003+ 2500 burbs are hard to find.

Yea it is a 3/4 and yea its a real clean 03. The donor should be here next week sometime. thanks
