looks nice , who does it . I went with the sheet metal route for weight

I don't think the weights will be that far off and I don't think my sump is the place I would really worry about saving weight.

Weight is weight. my pan weighs in at about 4 to 5 lbs. . There is no advantage to adding any more weight to a pan. as far as a girdle. I think that if you use the right rotation assembly there no need for all of this. Having a huge counter weight on the snout of this crank is a problem.
The pan looks nice , but when you working with the physics of drag racing weight is everthing

I agree the girdle is probably not needed but billet internally balanced cranks still break so I'm not so sure the counter weight is the problem.

haven't seen good cranks broken yet , but I still feel that running these engine higher and getting away from troque will help. some of the problems I have heard about is in the peo[ple trying to make the motors bigger. My thought is why make it bigger if you can't feed it

I've run the Duramax engine to well past 5000 RPM under full power and yet have to have a girdle or a high dollar crankshaft. The stock crankshaft properly set-up has proven to be pretty damn good. While not built proof there pretty damn good. Funny thing is I have not seen the need for a high dollar balance yet either. The stock ones have worked just as well as the others. While I am sure there are some gains, the other things that have been issues were bigger and needed to be solved first. I still believe in fix the things that need fixing first.
