Dyno Day in Georgia

I was down in Laurens County Georgia. Me and my step dad went down there to check on some land and fish in pond that doesn't see many people at all. :D I had forgot all about the pull until I got back to where I had cell phone service and Buckshot had left me a message, but by then it was way to late for me to get there. I hate I missed Georgia's big pull!!! I'll be going to the next pull that they have, but it's not gonna be near as good as this past one.

klincoln and my self will be there starts at 8:am i beilieve. should be a good time. there's a bunch of good guys at turbo fuel and electric.

I'll be there. Gonna try and get a 4K without defuel dyno graph :rockwoot:

I'll be there!! But, It'll be to see if I have an issue still.....My seat of pants still says that i've got some kinda issue....

Garmon and gang will be there too!!!

Come on out folks!!!!!

David, what time do yall plan on getting there?

I'm still unclear as to an actual start time.....Haven't called Dunbar yet...

Do you know?? What ever time, I'll be there....Earlier the Better.....For the Heat and Poss. rain.....only 30% chance though...

See ya there Dave

I'm guessing the vendors will be there early to set up. I'm going to Garmon's in the morning to have my tranny looked at again, so I'll ask jeff what time he's going.

I'm pretty sure I'll be there, I'm curious about start time too, I assume 9ish, thats when these shindigs usually get rollin'

Well i'll be there between 10 and 11. I talked with a guy that dropped his truck off at jeff's today and he said he was going, but that the place it's being held at is small???? I have no idea if that's fact or fiction so take it for what it's worth.

you can see a pic of the place on the google map by zooming in!

i am coming for sure, as it turns out I have to pic up some materials about a mile away! i will have a trailer with me

I should be there around 10:30ish

How did it go?!

Well, the day started kinda slow but picked up a round noon or so....

The Garmon Camp Trucks showed out on the dyno for the top three spots, EVEN Though Steve Long was the only truck without a problem!!! LOL
Actually Garmon had the top 4 spots....One of other customers with a gray mega cab was there for a short time and he did 626 or something like that...

Ty (triton) did 697.....He thinks he's got an injector(s) going bad like I do...

I Only did 693....I know I've got some sort of issue with injectors or something...I've been chasing my power loss for a while now...Evidently my turbo issue wasn't the main cause...:bang:bang....At the very minimum I should be in the 760's but my best times calculate a little higher than that....Pulling my injectors to get tested!!!...Hoping not to have to pull the head....

Steve Long's truck is running WELL!!!!!! He did 669!!!! He's picked up a bit....Last time they dyno'd that truck is was only 20* outside in the winter and it did 650....Yesterday was Freakin pretty warm and it still did 669!! He was happy....

Has Garmon ever put his pro street truck on the dyno lately? im curious as to how many ponies they are putting out in that class.

Breathing deep south air in the summer is kind of like have water injection built right in.

Sucks you guys had problems, but sounds like a good reason to go bigger on the sticks while their out :rockwoot:

I don't think he's dyno'd it in several years...Last time I believe it was 810 or something like that....Jeff really never has cared about total power output..He's all about reliability and making passes....Most of the races he's won, he was not the fastest or highest hp truck there by a long shot..It's just that he knows where that line is where reliability fades and untimately the Fan's suffer for it cause everyone else in the field breaks!!! Jeff's about going fast with very little money and staying reliable!!! I respect that!!

Darren and Dave D were having a conversation yesterday about this very topic....How the rules have been changed over and over for the last 5 years or so to make good racing but the HP just keeps going up and up and requires the rules to change to meet the Trucks needs to compete....They were discussing the OEM rule and how this sled pulling type Clutch/ Auto's (Jimmy Smith's truck) fall within that rule!!!

It was very interesting to say the least to listen to each side!!!
