Allright i did it at TST on there Mustang first time put down 450HP 950TQ seems low but im knew to this. But im hookedi need more power! and a new DYNO I heard mustangs are hard to get good numbers on?

yeah i think mustangs are the ones that are hard to build boost on?? idk i've never dynoed before

Mustanges are ****ty. I cant beilve that tst even has a mustange dyno. Its hard to get the charger lite on a mustang and very hard to be consitdent

Am I reading right??? It is REALLY easy too light the charger on a mustang.....it is a load dyno. The dynojets are the ones that rquire the brake!!!

I dyno'd on a mustang and a dynojet on the same day. One in canada and one in Monroe, WA. I was 8 hp off from one to the other. A friend did the same with his truck and was only 1 hp off... Torque was quite a bit different though.

if a mustang is hard to dyno on, it's probably not putting a good load on the truck

Well from what I understand mustangs are considered stingy due too the way they derive HP.....from everything I have read, and experianced on the dyno the mustang bases load on weight of vehicle and aerodynamics. The dynojet just has a couple of 2700 pounds drums too rotate.

Mustang dynos

The local dyno to me is a Mustang. At several dyno comps I've been to then there are several guys who have had 600+ runs on other dynos and some don't even hit 500 on the Mustang. Let me tell you about load on this thing,... I thought the purpose of the load dyno was to simulate actual street conditions and degree of load similar to what you'd have on the street,... NOT! This thing had me at 1000* EGT at just 45mph while bringin my speed up. I pull a 10500 skid loader and I'd have to be pushing the power to hit 1000* at 45mph. What I'm saying here is "LOAD" is an understatement on a Mustang,.. at least this one. Locals call it the Dream Buster. The only good thing about running on it is everything is relative and if it's tight for one then it's tight for all so at least you get to see what your doing vs the competition.

All i can say is that i was there last year and did 490 on fuel and 509 on N2O. Not to bad for a 12.15 truck. I can probably get that down a little bit also. So if i could break 11's does 500hp sound right?

I missed this year do to work. I wouldnt have dyno'd but would have went to meet some people.

The mustange i was only with my old 12va must of not been doing something right then or maybe it was dyno operater. Or maybe driver error. But i could not lite the charger it showed i only had 352 hp and i no i had more then that. After the dyno run i bought a bottle but never got a chance to run it again before i sold the truck. And i kick my self in the ass everyday for saleing it

Load dyno's are much easier to light turbo's with. The only difference is that have to know what you are doing to run it...

The Mustang was a real big load! Like OT-OF-Here said. I was told i could put down more on a Dynojets.Power and TQ, Will see soon enough.

I had no trouble building boost - my truck was the Dmax that popped the intercooler boot twice.:bang

I did manage 449/1008 at 2918 rpms so I am happy (now) knowing it was a tough dyno and I don't think I reached peak hp based on that torque #. The definitely loaded the trucks hard!

You did great on your run!:rockwoot: I was there too and all I can say is that Mustang 1750 is TOUGH to run on! I have to say that it is the toughest dyno I have ever run on and I was down about 80 H.P. from every previous runs on both Dynojet 248C's and the heavier rollered Dynojet 248H. I am not making excuses but I let off too soon on my two better runs letting off before the test was actually done, so maybe next time I will have better numbers. During my first run, I started at 60 MPH and everything seemed to be going well until the truck hit about 82 MPH at which time it felt like the truck hit a brick wall!!!:hehe: The speed was still climbing, but not near as fast. With TWO large load cells, one on each roller, the resistance on the engine is pretty heavy IMHO. One thing I noticed was how HOT alot of the trucks were getting on the dyno. There was one that actually had the back part of the exhaust manifold glowing somewhat red!! That is something I had never really seen before. My truck didn't get all that hot as I have my Scheid Water System on it with five (5) nozzles, but without that I would bet I could easily hit 1900-2000 degrees.

Yeah, the Mustang 1750 is ONE TOUGH DYNO!

How do the Mustangs differ from a Supeflow? They certainly do put a hurtin on and you're hoping something doesn't go pop as it's pulling out. That said it's no worse than a nice uphill grade OD pullout either. The even funner ones are the ones you start up around 3k and let the dyno drag it down to 1600. Those will make you pucker lol.

05smoker, Man when that thing blew it liked to have blew my mind:hehe: I was not ready for that. And yes i think you could have made more power. that sounded real good. O i found out the turbo:ft: was only putting out 22psi boost. The PMT softwear was not worked out yet was trying something new.
