early 04 into an 06

How big of a mess am I going to have? I want to swap motor and computer.

ive heard that its not that bad. Ive heard of somebody using a 5.9 computer on a 6.7 and said it was that hard to do just time consuming i have a hard time beleiving that. do you have a donor truck?

I bought a crashed 04. I had a mechanic tell me that he could figure it out. It might just take awhile to work the bugs out. He said if I just swapped it in it probably wouldn't run. Mine is can bus and has the computer chip key. He said I might have to pull the ignition and wiring. He was going to look at some wiring diagrams. I am trying to keep the swap as sanitary as possible. This is my hotshot rig so I don't want to be on the side of the road with wiring problems.

Does anyone know where I could find some wiring diagrams of the ecm plugs. Then maybe I could just swap a few wires and just use the wiring off the 06 motor and put it on the 04.
