Ive got an older DTT build (2002 I think?) and apparently since it was done theres some newer stuff on the market. My installer says there might be issues with the old input shaft holding up to the triple disc converter.
Any opinions on that? Truck is only making 420hp or so at the moment. I was told this build was in a truck putting down near twice that HP number.
Dont want to snap an input shaft.. but dont want to spend $$$ tearing it down again for the sake of a shaft I may not need. Money I can save there can go towards updating the valve body.

Converter clutch is slipping so at the minimum I need a new converter.
Shop is suggesting I look at some of the newer valve body upgrades since this is like 10 years old. Trying to figure out if I can avoid opening the thing up and just do the converter and -maybe- the valve body.

The old DTT two hole shafts still hold a decent amount of power, I wouldnt put it in a 900hp drag truck but a 500hp street truck will be fine.
