Is there anyone that is going to come run with the ECS diesel trucks this year? I was wondering if the word that the new class was being started has got around to everyone yet.:poke:

depends on what rules they run, if i can meet the rules without taking stuff off the truck etc then i will see about planning to come to the ECS pulls

I think its still up in the air. Heck last I checked the Keystone National indoor pull had 1 guy signed up for the 8000 diesel class. This is taken form the list on the site.

DIESEL 4X4 PICKUPS
COMPETITOR VEHICLE NAME VEHICLE
1.JOE OCCHIPINTI OVER FUELED DODGE

The word has not gotten out vary well as you may be able to tell by some of the responses to your post.

the rules are going to be 3.2 twins, unlimited drive train, dot tires and oem floorboard and firewall. to give you an idea that kinda sums it up

i think guys know about the keystone pull they just have signed up yet, they got at least 2 months until the pull and a month till the end of the early registration fee. I hope the class has a good amount of pullers but ya cant let the rules scare ya. Just because they allow it dosent mean guys will have it

i know what you are saying, but with the cost of fuel i cant justify traveling to virgina/west virginia on a regular basis to run in a point series with trucks that have unlimited drivelines, 3.2"twins etc. i cant even try to be competitive in a class like that with a daily driven 2.6" street truck

You guys have me by mistake, Im not talking about the Keystone pull. The East Coast Series of the PPL is starting a diesel class this year and I was wondering how many guys would maybe come out and play with those trucks. As far as the rules go for the Keystone pull Im not sure. But the East Coast Series hooks in PA, MD, VA, WV, and every once in awhile in OH.

yea i know you mean ppl's class. the rules for that class and the keystone pull are pretty much the same. Im gonna try to make a couple probably towards the end of the year, ill only be setup for a 2.8 class but ill have to take the bushing out and try to hold my own. If theres not enough trucks for the ecs class or the class at keystone they'll drop it for next year so hopefully enough guys show interest

I dont have a link but there should be some info showing up either on the ECS page or on eastern extreme pulling. I dont think that we are going to drop the rules there is talk about if we can get a few 2.8 guys to come every weekend that there will be a weight advantage to keep the class competitive. when the official rules come out here in another week or so ill post them if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested in the 2.8 class.

i dont think he meant a 2.8 class. I think he means if some 2.8 trucks come every pull they'll give them a weight advantage over the guys with the rockwells and big chargers to make it competitive

Yes that is what he meant, there are a few 2.8 trucks around here since interstate did away with the pro street 2.8 class, if a guy doesnt want to spend the money to step up since all the trucks were built last year, there may be a weight advantage given to the smaller chargered trucks to help get the class off and running and make them competitive, kinda like the super/pro stock tractor class is done. The class is 3.2 bushing twin, unlimited single, open drivetrain, Steel cab and bed, no tube chassis, no tilt bodies, DOT cut tires

That rule was put in before he bought that truck if he was wanted to run with us he would he should have came to the meetings. From what i hear he doesnt plan on running ECS and we arent changing the rules for him, did that for him last year and look were it got us:umno: :badidea: :rules:

is there a schedule for ECS yet? just curious where the pulls will be taking place. if I do decide to join, I am not sure how often and how far I will be able to travel for the pulls.

should have it by the end of the month they are waiting on the contracts to be returned, promotors are showing a good bit of interest. i know the ECS goes to tuckahoe twice we maybe there and pocomoe city once or twice but if they will have us or not
