The East Coast Pullers Ass. is talking about changing the Pro stock diesel pickups from unlimited single/ 3.2 twins back to a 3.0 class to allow more trucks(2.6/2.8) in the area to run. So if we do this would any of you guys here on the East Coast be willing to come run with us? Any discussion (good or bad) and comments would be greatly apperciated, Thanks Jeremy

I'm not. That's going to boot me out of a class with the truck I'm building.

So what class are you building for. All other rules will stay the same open drivetrain, water, ect. just cutting back the turbo. All of us that ran this year were unlimited singles and we dont feel there is enough interest in the old rules yet to keep running them. We only had 4 trucks that were unlimited. In an effort to help get guys to run we are talking about cutting the turbos back to make it more competative. Im still going to run my unlimited single at some pulls that will allow it just swap turbos

Well I guess I can run the 3.0. My main concern will be an RPM limit, block restrictions, and head restrictions. When I was living in MO some classes had rpm restrictions and everyone always argued. I liked teh fact when I heard East Coast was running an open single cause there won't be argument on that and the main thing I hate, out of all of it, is arguing.... But I'm sure everyone else feels about that same on that as well.

There is no rpm limit turn it as hard as you want, oem block and head fill them if you want

Standard cubic inch? Does it have to start as a standard block or must the one I run in the truck be a standard block?

if you are refering to stroking a motor there is no rule, no billet blocks, must have been offered in a 1 ton pickup. go to www.eastcoastpullersllc.com for the rules everything is the same but the turbo rule

As of right now we dont know thats the part i would like pros and cons for, from you guys, what you all would like to see and what are other 3.0 classes doing

I say make it the same as PPL's midwest pro stock class, i believe thats a 3.0 no bushing rule. That way if any of us decide to run out at scheid or some indoor pulls you meet there rules and dont have to have a different charger just to run out there.

We talked about that the other day and is probally the way we will go for that reason

the 2.6 2.8 already have thier own class i dont want to choke my turbo back unless we can run a reducer ring

Would you be running any more pulls? any closer around this way? I would love to pull with you guys when i p-pump my rig, but a 2.8 making 700ish HP aint much competition for you 1,000+ HP trucks. You put 20+ feet on me at Tuckahoe and you were only at half throttle:bow:

We are trying to get a precommitment list to go to promoters with showing them how many trucks there will be there and what kind of show it will be, if you have pulls out there that would like us call Dave Moore so he can get in contact with them his phone # is on the East Coast website in the post above. The thing about East Coast is there is a very large points fund at the end of the year. Any truck can win on any given nite, Ive been beat a time or two by lesser hp trucks because i over power the track so dont let that scare you away, besides cutting us back to 3.0 is going to take a good bit away from us. Jeremy

Well I don't know if my truck will be out at teh first pull of the year. Its at bare frame right now. Main thing I need to get yet is the reverser, turbo and trying to figure out what I want to do with the rear axle. I got most of the other parts so but with the way teh economy is, I'm not rushing my build. I don't want to spend excess money if I don't have to so I'm just taking my time. Well, I'm heading down to the garage now to finish prepping the cab.

Did i talk to your dad at the Buck back over the summer. I spoke to a guy who said his son wanted to build a truck and it was just a frame sitting in his garage and they were going to try to have it out for next year, really nice guy was asking alot of questions on setups.

My dad isn't mechanically inclined and doesn't approve of what I do so unfortunately no, it wasn't my father. Envy the guy whos father it is, wish my dad would let me do my pulling stuff and just leave me alone....:bang

You make a good point. If i can get my motor p-pumped and running good along with getting the extra safety stuff would'nt mind pulling with you guys. As far as pulls the only pull i help put on is Tuckahoe and you already come to the associations modified pull that we do in July.

Are you going to be coming up to our street legal pull on the 25th? i think Ladell and Lamar are coming down. If so i would like to know more about it. Thanks
