Possibly interested in the 01 5 speed. If its the same year and trans, it doesn't have to be reflashed right? Do you have a part number on it?

I gotta do some more troubleshooting before I can pull the trigger on it, symptoms are either pointing to an ecm or the quadzilla.
 
An automatic.... Or I can make it a 5 speed

I didn't think the year made any difference on 2nd gens. I also heard that the 98-98 ems were the ones that everyone wanted, because the 01-02 ones had issues sooner? Heck, I don't even think the vin # or mileage matter. Just the trans?
 
Just trans and years matter and yes RE trucks with an ecm didn't have an RH

Right. I am 98% certain that my 96 has an 47RE, and my 2000 has a 6-speed. I'd like to swap the transmissions between the two truck, and if it's just a matter of an ECM for each one that would be cherry. I don't know enough about the automatics to be certain of this.
 
With the 2001 auto ECM I will be able to run my 1996 47RE in the 2000 properly and have everything jive?
