this may be a silly question for some on here, but what is the difference between a comp and drag comp? i just recently bought a comp and could never find any info for the drag comp, even on edge's web site. also i have a smarty stacked with the comp, what levels are people running the two controllers on?

drag comp fuels higher. i run the same stack, usually with the comp off and the smarty on 1. problt should be on 2 but ive had no issues. wanna smoke em out? turn the comp on 5x5 on sw1 and itll smoke good. i also tow on sw1 unless it gets heavy then i got to 4 or 6 and adj the comp til it feels good

Edge calls the Drag Comp a Comp Hot now. It makes level 5 fuel harder and to 3200 rpm instead of 2700.

I wouldn't worry about the drag upgrade since your smarty should be opening up the rpms for you already. Timing is one of those things where more is not always better so run the smarty on the even levels so it wont add timing to what the edge box adds.

Try SW8 with the comp on 5x5 :rockwoot:

Drive my truck everyday with the Smarty on 6 and my Ganatelly box on level 2(100hp).
On the dyno that setting was right at 300hp and 720ftlbs tq. with great throttle response and mid-level smoke. EGTs never were an issue on any setting.
And I get 18+mpg daily driveing.

On my 2000 the Drag comp makes about 45hp more than Comp.
I run it on 5x5 and the Smarty on SW8 all the time....

thanks for the input guys, did some testing yesterday (just received the smarty) and found that i like level 6 on the smarty and level 3X3 on the comp. i will have to try some of the other options given above. i am going to keep what i have, i just was curious about the drag comp because i see it posted so often. with the smarty hooked up it definately didn't seem like it was defueling of all the stuff i've gotten for the truck the smarty seems like the most worth while.

I've dynoed the two back to back with rv 275's and a KSB-1 and the only difference between the two was the drag comp gave me 40hp/40tq from 2700rpm to 3200rpm.

my drag upgrade cost me hp...don't waste the money...

A friends: 02 24V STOCK turbo, jammer 5 tips, Intake/Straight pipe

Regular Comp 448HP

Drag Comp 426HP

I think the Drag comp fueled too hard for the stock turbo on the dyno

My truck /with twins, big sticks, etc.

Regular comp 548HP

Drag Comp 582HP

All depends on what setup you have....

Well the trucks got a HTB2 62/14, smarty stacked with drag comp, and mach 1.5 injectors and it only did 411 on the dyno...did 440ish corrected with a stock turbo, comp stacked with smarty and mach 1.5's...so by adding a turbo and upgrading to the drag I lost power...

I noticed a good difference when I went from the comp to a drag, I could stay in a gear longer and get btter topend with drag instead of the comp. I would see it better to have fuel all the way to 3200 instead of 2700.

how about going to the adrenaline?

i have one, and well i could hardly tell a difference, if there was any, and that from a normal edge juice

We got 465hp without our box, then 505 with the dragbox, and then the same w/Smarty on level 4,but our Torque went up to 1286 w/Smarty.But everybody says it's all in the setup.

I run the smarty comp stack and i like it set to sw8 and 5x5 for daily driving fuels real nice with a large charger

I've got a stock turbo and a smarty/drag comp stack and I love it. I drive around town with the edge:5x5 and the smarty:8.
