my truck has 215000 miles and no tranny up grades what are the odds of it messing up if i add a comp hot to it. There would be nothing else, just the comp, stock everything else. could it handle it?

With that many miles you you could be running a pretty good chance of a parts failure of some sort.
If the IP or lift pump has never been upgraded, there's a good chance that the IP could/would fail. Maybe, maybe not, it's just kind of a crap shoot with the VP44.
The tranny might hold, it might not, depends on what levels you run the Comp on most of the time.
My suggestion would be to get a pyro, boost and FP gauge and maybe even a trans temp gauge to check engine and trans vitals before you go adding power.
It's not as much fun to do the important stuff first, but it can be less costly in the long run.
You can put the Comp on and if everything works fine, then great, but if the VP44 craps out due to a non working lift pump or internal IP failure, then you're out $1k-2k for a lift pump and VP44. If the tranny goes out then you're probably looking at $1500-2000 for just a TC and VB (assuming you have an auto).
On the other hand, you might be OK. These are just some examples of possible failures.

Good advice.:Cheer:

My truck only had about 90,000 miles on it when I put my edge comp on, and the stock tranny lasted maybe a month. So I would definitely go with dieseltracks on this one, and take some precautions before doing anything major(chips, sticks, etc.).

Comp with wire tap will slip the stock tq converter easy...

Comp without wire tap would prolly work ok. But go with a full set of gauges too... Boost, pyro, fuel pressure, and tranny temp...

Without the wire tap you should be fine. I've had mine on for about 2 years, and I don't have a fass. If you can, go ahead and get a fass pump, because your stock pump won't push enough fuel on the bottom end that the edge comp requires...I don't think.

with out the wire tap how much less hp would i have, would it just be a wist of time because i already have an edge ez

Get some sort of gauges first! Then buy the comp and sell the EZ. Do something about the fuel system, either holley blue, airtex, FASS or something (I have about $200 in my airtex). Then be prepared for the trans upgrade that'll be soon to come... Mine at first would only slip on 5x5, then it gradually got worse, never broke or went completely out, but I could slip the lock up clutch at will at the end...
