Edge Juice W/attitude & Smarty

Hello guys i got a question for you 24v pro's. A good friend of mine has a 1999 2500 24v with a edge juice w/ attitude on it and looking for more power. My question is can he run a smarty box with the edge without ruining anything? I just put a built goerand trans in it for him so i'm not worried about the trans handling the extra power. I just don't know what tuners are compatable with each other. thanks,jesse
 
Yes you can run a smarty with it, but only run the programs that DO NOT add timing. I believe those are the odd numbered programs, but I could very well be wrong since I do not own or use a smarty.
 
Does the edge provide timing then? And would you suggest a better fuel supply system than stock to support the addition of the smarty box
 
Yes, the Juice has it's own timing curve. You will want to load the SW#2,4,6,8 depending on the power you want. They don't add timing. As far as the fuel system, the Attitude monitor has a fuel pressure gauge. If you are seeing low fuel pressure, look into an aftermarket fuel setup. I really like upgrading the lift pump and fuel filter so I usually recommend it. Give me a shout if I can answer any questions. Jeremy.

Thanks for the correction on what levels add or don't add timing, I don't have one so I guessed...wrongly as it appears LOL


Upgrade the fuel system pronto, it's worth the money no matter who you use. I'm not knocking the FASS system, but there are other options out there a bit less costly.
 
I've heard of the airdog system but unsure of where to get one. A good friend of mine is a dealer for the FASS systems and usually cuts me a decent deal on them. What is the most common price of the airdog system? Is there other options besides those two systems? thanks,jesse

Smarty is a fun mod, but considering he has a juice and wants more power, I'd think injectors might get him a lot farther. The smarty will change the fuel maps, eliminate the rate limits (so it can rev faster), and bump the redline past whats considered to be safe. It might not make anymore power on the dyno, but it'd give him more power lower in the rpms.
 
not to hi-jack but does the smarty have bad surging problems with a auto, bigger injectors and turbo?
