Okay, sorry, Newb question....
WTH is this EFI Live I've been hearing about? I'm assumng it's some kind of tune. Are there "stages" like in some of the boxes or is it straight-up "Hold-onto-your-head-Fred" power all the time?

He's right. I saw the gazillion parameters on Garmon's laptop and mentally said, "Funk that, I'll take a TS module before I pretend I write Duramax code".:hehe:
 
So basicly, you reprogram your truck to do excatly what you want? Daymn, I bet Jeff does like that! I just don't like the whole not able to change programs as you drive like in most boxes.

Actually you have a dsp 2 switch out now that can switch between 2 tunes on the fly , they have just released dsp 5 for a 5 tune switch able on the fly program. It can also do valet mode and rpm limiting for boosted launches. There is no better tool for the Duramax tuning world. I guarantee the fastest Duramax trucks will be running EFI this season.
 
Oh wow, so you CAN set up various tunes, like a mpg tune, towing, playing and racing tunes with a "valet" setting to huh? Cool!

yes its the bomb ! but YOU have to know how to program or take baby steps . Several have gotten real good at it and sell their tunes !
 
The hard part of EFI Live is learning what you really have to change, what to tell to STFU, and what to not even mess with. Once you get the figured out you really do not need to mess with much to make things happen.:rockwoot:
 
I've had EFILIVE for about 4 months now and love it.
lots of people willing to help you tune and will look at tunes you build to help you smooth them out.There are tunes available for you to download and try.
The software is free to download and try from efilive.com
take alook and try it.
 
Really sounds slick. When it comes time, I'll look into it fully. I'm not worried about the programs, I'd let Garmon just load me up :ft: !
