egr?

I took my truck to the dealer with a p0405(i think) it was for the egr.well I told them that i did NOT want any flashes..Well they did flash it with some kinda flash that would fix it.(they say) I want things to fall off buy 36k im at 20k now. what is there i can do? I was told that when the new flashes come out they are made so the truck can not have after market stuff on it. If I can not do anything Im going to trade this truck in.

The trucks ecm has to be replaced to have the new software were you can't put a programmer on it. Only trucks built after march 4 2009 have the ecm with that bootloader in it or if they replace your ecm.
