EGT probe?

can the egt probe go bad? I took my truck in for warranty work last week, egr cooler, oil cooler, fuel injector and the latest flash. When I got home and reinstalled the Edge Platinum setup, the egt's only read 250 at idle, 500 at 70 mph cruise and max out full throttle level 5 at 900.
Before having the work done, idle was 350, crusie at 70 was 750ish and full throttle would hit 1200-1300 pretty quick.
Did the latest flash mess things up or can the probe go bad?

i had a probe go bad once but it didn't read anything at all. the needle didn't even move.

Could be possible i get one start at 500 after engine warm up go colder*bdh*
