Just posting a picture of my barely used electric water pump for those that are considering purchasing one... (in case you want to see what one looks like) $.02

LOL if you think that is oil, I can sell you the mineral rights to all of the oil I can collect from my rain gutters, I mean oil gutters.

I can see the dark part making it look like oil, but the surface tension of water can show that it is water.
 
it's coolant mixed with the dust found inside an electric motor... (black antifreeze) I've had it sitting in a box for a month or so, finally decided to open it up and see why it quit. Looks like coolant leaked into the motor, corroded the wiring/brushes in the backend and caused it to quit. I cleaned it up after I took the pics and you can see the corrosion.
 
Looks familiar...really nice $289.95 paperweight, with ABSOLUTELY no service whatsoever after the sale.

Mine died after about 6 months, and less than 3K miles. Never even made it to the first oil change!


I'm not even sure if I'll run it on my race truck now!

Just got off the phone with him...

He said he has sold MANY to DR.Performance with no problems and some to Haisley with only one that leaked..

Mine is making some noises once and awhile and am a bit worried after hearing/seeing all this...

He told me to post his number up...so here it is, have at it!

Drove it occasionally to work last fall, maybe 500 miles. Parked most of the winter. Drove it maybe 10 more times this spring and it quit on me. Put a stocker in that I ground the fins down some.
 
I just spoke with Scott and he is going to replace it for me. Sounds like he is having trouble with his CompD account and can't get logged in to respond to PMs. Thanks for the phone number...

Maybe I should call him as well...it's been long enough though I'm not sure if I even care anymore!
