I'm building a pretty sweet cummins engine mostly for dragracing but will probably see some sledpulls also.
I wonder if i should go the way with an electric waterpump. The cooling must be better and less turning power when you don't use a mech pump.
What do you guys think?
How long will they hold up because i gonna use my truck for street.?
Where do you buy them?
I know many questions but i want to know as much possible.
Thanks

Personally I wouldnt want to rely on one on a truck that sees more miles on the street than track.

Mine lasted about 1500-2000 miles on my street truck, then it started blowing fuses every 5-10 minutes. Only got my truck hot like 6 times:( I'll still be running one on the race truck though.

I was told these would hold up, but I guess I got a bad one

I wouldn't be nearly as mad if the guy who sold it to me would return a PM. I lost his freaking number so that's all I can do:(

Ok thanks for your answers.
Where can i buy one. Are there different manufacturers or where do you think i can buy one?

good deal on the Jegs site...everywhere else I have seen them they have been almost $100 more

I know the guy that built mine sells them to Jegs IIRC...hopefully Jegs is doing the Customer Service!

Usually you get what you pay for. I've heard of a few people that have had problems with the pump from Jegs.
