does anyone know if there is any way to make the elivated idle come on with out it being 32 deg.

if there is it would be through the PTO option. but I'm not even sure it's possible

I'm glad I saw this post... I have the option to turn high idle on in my 09 lmm, and cant figure how to idle it up.. It says in the manual to set park brake put trans in park, and hit the cruise set.. Am I missing something?

re

I don’t know I turn my elevated idle on by scrolling through the vehicle setting and mine is done on the steering wheel and all I have to do is have it in park and wait 30 seconds and it will automatically come on if it is below 32 deg outside and the motor is below 160.

The high idle yall are thinking about is only intended for warm up . It won't work unless it's real cold outside. You can wire a switch intended for use with a PTO into a empty spot on the ECM harness , then you can idle up regardless of temp .

Any more info??

We've got an 09 service truck with the PTO option, but I'd like to be able to idle up my Brother's 09 for jump starting and such.

I'm not sure about LMM trucks, I'll try to make sure , but for LBZ's you wire a switch that will give B+ to pin # 60 on the top ECM harness plug. You then use the cruise control to elevate the idle. Set will give you 1200ish if you press accelerate it should be 1800ish.

Didn't realize, oh well. There's a lot of info I couldn't relay here and answer any questions about it.

I agree it is a very informative sight. I still don't know if you have to have the PTO option (RPO UF3) to have the high idle feature on LMM trucks . Wesley , do you want to find out on your new 2009 ? PM me if you want to see if it'll work. I got the pins and crimpers .

i changed the idle (with efi live)in 07 lbz to run at 850 rpms until the coolant temperature reaches 176 degrees then the idle goes to 500 rpms
