With 227k on the ticker my wheelbearing/hubs are about toast. Im thing about getting the EMS Kit. Wanted to know what you guys thought about them. I currently have a posi lock on the CAD which works great.

Im kinda on the fence about getting the 30 spline outer kit and adding the 30 spline shaft to do away with the cad for about $1330 or

Get the 35spline outer kit and leave the 35spline cad with the posi lock $1140

which one of these setups would be stronger???
Also another concern I have is that the hubs stick out further than stock. I have 17x9 wheels with 305's I dont care if the hubs stick out a little but I hoping they wont look to bad on 17x9's I hear stock wheels they look a little funny.

Just saw a buddies set, looks like a very nice set up! Not too bad on the price either!

If you are going to the effort of getting the servicable wheel bearings and lockouts why bother leaving the CAD in there?

The older style ball joint D60s (the ones that have the ball joints in the knuckles) use the same ball joints and inner Cs as the Ford stuff from that era as well. If you have access to a Ford D60 you could swap everything from the knuckle out and maybe come out a bit cheaper.

30 spline outers should be fine for lighter use. The inners are 30 spline stock. If you are pulling or subjecting the truck to some heavy abuse then I would consider going with 35 spline shafts. Don't forget that these trucks are heavy and what would be overkill in a lighter truck is likely not overkill in a truck like this with big tires and/or heavy throttle.

I have no opinions or objections on the EMS kit at this time, as I have not seen or installed one yet.

If you have access to a Ford d60, just swap the whole axle in. Hi pinion, 35 spline inners, one piece shafts.
