Engine ECM SWAP

Has anyone ever tried to swap out an ECM from a 2002 and try to put in an
older truck ? I'm curious if this would work !

the softwares are very specific, I could send you a file to convert if you won a smarty or I could flash the ecm for you

Yes, but you need a DRB III. Years ago when I was trying to track down a problem with 96 or 97 12 Valve with a 47re. I was told the ECM was the same in my 98 24v valve, and I imagine they are the same in the 02's. I bet they just follow the transmission types and need programmed by the DRB III accordingly. The 94-95 I know are different. And they have 47RH's

When you flash my ECM what fuel map do you use ? Something custom or do
you use higher HP factory map settings ? Say if you have a 99 ECM are you flashing it to a 2002 HO fuel map & timing ?

I would flash in the stock chrysler software either 99 or 02 dependant on which truck it's going in.

And there is no charge

do you flash them via smarty? like send a file or something? could you change idle that way?
