Engine removal tips

Anyone have any tips on pulling the engine? ANyone know of any articles on it? Pulling my engine for the first time

Pull the cylinder head. Makes it alot easier.

Whats the best place to attach the hoist?

Get two 12mm bolts to go into the head bolt holes.

take the front bumber and grille and radiator intercooler ect off then the motor has loops on it to lift it out by. And disconnect electrical and fuel remove motor mount bolts and pull it out though the front of the truck.

I've heard this: pull the tranny first as you'll have to raise the back end a bit first to get the oil pan to clear the cross brace as you bring it up and forward.
