Exhaust brake stays engaged

My brothers 08 6.7 with izon auto cab and chassy. Exhaust brake stays engaged. Light stays illuminated on switch. Weather it's in drive tow haul or manual shift. Also he is going to install H&S DPFE and EGR delete. Any ideas or pointers?

I believe on a c/c that is the default. The pickups are the opposite.

It will stay on no matter what. Even if you push/hold button down. Light state on and brake engaged.

Not sure about C/C trucks. Like mentionned above our trucks are the opposite.
