i know everybody says this exhaust housing came on that, and that exhaust housing came on this, but is there a way to figure out what housing you have without knowing what the turbo came off of?

i have 3 turbos, but at this point in time its hard to tell if they are original or not.

the first turbo is a hx35w on a 148 horse 1997 6bt, with a inline pump thats not a p-pump. the engine came out of a road grader.
assembly # 3536971
serial # 0929892
customer # 3536975-0-12/6

second is also a hx35w, its in a 1995 dodge 3/4t 4x4 auto. the engine is still in the truck, but its hard telling if the turbo is original nearly 18 years and almost 400,000 miles later.
assembly # 3534919
serial # 054325
customer # 3534920-0-cant read the rest

the third turbo is a wh1c in a 1995 b700 ford bus. its a 175 horse 6bt, p-pump.
assembly # 3533316
serial # 0621889
customer # 3925739-0-07/5

i would like to figure out what exhaust housings these have, and if there were different compressors available how do you find out what those were?

thanks in advance for any help and replies.

did i ask this question in the wrong area, or its there something about my question that doesn't warrant an answer? i figured for how many of these turbos are out there, and all the stuff they were used on, this is something that might be helpful to more than just me.

Housing sizes that I've seen are.... 9/wg, 12/wg, 14/non-wg,16/non-wg, 21/non-wg

There are others I'm sure, but these are the most common among "normal people".

the HX35w would be either a 9 or a 12, IMHO. I personally have not seen a 14/wg, but again I are not perfect.
