Exhaust manifold

Wht is the benefit of changing from a stock manifold? What is a three piece manifold? As you can see I'm new to this area of the engine.

Do alot of searching and reading. The search function is your friend. 3 piece manifolds are for 2nd gens, can be used for twins (Compound Turbo's) or can be for 12 valves. No real benefit on a stock truck.
