I have a straight piped 02 24 valve into a single 5 inch stack. I recently found out im going to be a dad. My question is, if i find a muffler for my truck do yall think it will still be too loud in the back seat for a baby? Thanks

First of all, CONGRATS!! But you need to give some time before you bump a thread! Far as the stack noise, you might be able to find a muffler to quiet it down some, but I have not heard of any. Most mufflers will take a lot of the sharp noise out but guys still tell me they are loud enough to be really annoying to anyone in the back seat.

Congratulation's, kids are awsome,i love um all!!!
My truck is also strait piped 4" duals with 6" tips and it"s pretty loud in the cab as well. The echo inside mine is what's so bad,so i was wondering the same thing.I wanted to put stacks in my truck to keep the smoke out of the road little, plus they look good. But i have two kids of my own and wondered about the noise.
I heard a 28" or 30" magnaflow does wonders but like MnTOM said the back seat is still a little noisy.

I haven't had stacks on mine, but do have a 4 inch straight piped exhaust, I had a mbrp muffler in mine before that came with my kit, and it was really quiet. Could just about talk next to the truck with it running, unlike it is now. Don't know if a muffler like that would help with stacks, but I do know that it took alot of the loudness out of mine when it was under the truck.

Congrats and best of luck

im running an mbrp muffler with my single stack set up and i have a regular cab and i dont think its that bad. Only annoying if you are going between 70 and 75

Thanks for all of the responses. I think I'm going to try to find a reasonable priced muffler. Now my question is where to put it? I was thinking right before the 90 to the stack?
