So I bought some 1 piece black headlights...

The damn collars that hold the bulbs in place are too small to fit the headlight... how did you guys fix this?

Also, anybody have any tips for adjusting the stupid things?

they'll fit, just take a little patience..... as for adjusting there should be a screw on the back of them to adjust the reflector up and down on the inside of the housing..... no side to side adjustment, but I have tried some washers between the mounts.... not much change....

I love the looks of the 1 peice lights, but the beam they put sucks.... oh and I had to double up on the headlight gaskets to get them to seal properly....
 
dude... mine are like a half inch too small...

well, one of my turn signals was backwards so the plug goes in upright instead of pointing down like normal.... so I dunno... they are peices of ****... but they look good
 
I was pissed when I went to install mine... I had to remove a rubber collar to get them to lock in. Which I'll prob regret later when moisture starts to show up... I just felt that in general mine are cheaply made and poorly designed.


Edit: The factory collar didn't even come close to fitting on mine, with or w/o the rubber collar.

There was no other collar with the lights.. All I have are the factory collars
 
Where did you guys get your headlights from? I am wanting to buy a set. I'm going to do a retro solutions HID kit at the same time too.
 
Mine came with some cheap thin collar that barely allowed me to squeeze my lights in. And my parking lights are also backwards now...

Got mine from ebay. If your going HID get the DDM Tuning kit.
 
Use stock collar, sport headlights are the way to go. The 1 piece are a total PITA to adjust.
 
my 1 piecers suck. look nice. and work well if im coon hunting. but driving on back roads at night sucks.
