It is 1/8th, but that truck is still fast for a 2 1/2 ton truck.

Seen the Kodiak run personally (Irwindale Dragstrip, CA) and 9.5 seconds in the 1/8th may not seem fast until you realize the truck weighs something like 12,500lbs!!! I was running one night when he was there and the truck is nothing short of impressive! I'm pretty sure he frequents here, just can't remember his name. Hell of a nice guy too!

the video is posted in the videos here, and there is a video of it running on some sand drag racing

Yep, I've seen that video. It's Glamis I believe.

Hey Guys,whats happening.

Yep thats 1/8 mile Irwindale.I run it 4wd in 1/8 mile,Launch it at 23 psi.

The truck runs 15's in the 1/4.Will go run at Fontana 1/4 or Formosa at next street day event.Best at 1/4 was 15.90,but that was 2 yrs ago and before 2 cp3's and better tuning.Should be my guess 15.30's.I try to run 1/8 mostly because the egt's in the 1/4 are scary with big weight truck.Twin turbo's would be ideal for my rig, being so heavy.Maybe the way I'll go.

The thing I cant get enough of is how hard it leaves.Street night at the track is just to much fun.For the truck to et 1.92 60's with basically stock set-up is amazing. All Ive done is the Trans stg 4,PPE hot tuner,PPE 2 CP3 pump kit,and dumped the egr and made custom intake.Stock motor and stock turbo still.

The truck thinks it only weighs 5000 lbs. 9.502 is my best 1/8 mile.
Thats #2 fuel only with no other additives,no juice on this truck.

I really like this set-up,the truck lives well at this HP range.Im stewing on another motor for truck with all the hard parts and turbo, and some serious tunes that will push the truck hard into the 8.00's.

Everyone says build a race truck, but I kind of like the sleeper truck.
Been racing a lot less lately,it is hard on it lauching on it like that. The only thing Ive hurt since doing all this is the transfer case input bearing. And shifted the front axle a little on the springs from 4wd launchs.I originally built this truck for Glamis and towing my old school 78 sand truck out to play, but my daughter drives that all the time in the sand now so Im in this truck most of the time. The Kodiak does amazingly well in the sand, made it up Oldsmobile hill on those street tires. And goes everywhere I point it.Almost, got it stuck once in some nasty soupy sand.My daugter pulled me out with old 78.Thats the truck I want to stick a dmax in,turn 4 paddles old school with the diesel motor. Gas :ft:

thats badass dude you have an awesome rig!!
i want to build a cummins powered f650 here soon, maybe built 12V or change the elctrical over to the dodge stuff..... im not sure...
twin turbo auto would be cool but not sure about that auto trans...
probably do the manual thing...
whats registration cost you on a beast like that? i dont want to be paying $1000 a year for registration.... but id do it anyway!

That's freakin movin for something that fast.

This damn thing ran a 16.29 on Rockwells:

Knew you were around here somewhere. Remember me? Grey F250 Crew Cab 4X4? Met you at Irwindale one night along with your buddy in the White Dmax Dually. Anyway . . . Love the truck man, and I agree. The sleeper look is so much more fun. :woohoo:

I like to tow trucks like that around,2 at a time.

The suspension on the red chevy is awesome,Truck really works well.
And it's a diesel.I really liked this truck. Was hauling trucks to Offroad Expo.

The black Kodiaks a friend of mines truck, also very nice.

It was nice having some weight behind my truck, really rides good towing. And has no problem getting right up to 65 mph towing these loads. Figured just under 40,000lbs. rolling down the road. :ft: Gas

I'm a die-hard Dodge guy....But now that I know it works for a living, that white Kodiak is one Badass truck !!!!!
9.50 is faster than about 75% of the cars that race on street nite,
& I'll bet it's always the crowd favorite. :ylsuper:

This Chevy has really held up to all the abuse I give it.It does it all, drag races, tows, and goes all over the sand dunes as well. The 4WD on this truck works well. The Kodiak makes it up Oldsmobile Hill and Competition Hill at Glamis on street tires,so I saw no reason to go with the big jumbo tires and the big lift.I wanted to do the big stuff to the truck, but it would kill the truck at the track and towing.

I really like blazin in the sand, that's my love. Gas

I know that red ford, isn't that some 19 year old kids truck?
Yeah i know the lift is going to kill stuff, but im not going insane, somewhere between 8 inchs to 14 inchs on 4 link with coilovers, with added air bags in rear for towing...
im wondering if i can change the pcm and some of the electrical on the f650 over to the dodge stuff, like 98 to 01, whatever year i get, so i can just use dodge chips and programers and all. thinking of keeping the turbos smaller, well smaller than my original idea, and doing a manual with a 2 speed transfer/splitter.
do like an ats aurora 2000 & 5000 compounded or something similar, like 700hp + instead of like 900+ like i wanted on the auto, spool would suck on the stick with that
