Those that have updated their factory fuel pumps have you bypassed the factory regulator or kept it? I am getting ready to replace my lines going into the heads and am unsure whether to keep the factory regulator or not. If keeping it what size fittings are used on the lines going to the heads to tie into it? Is there any benefit to bypassing the factory regulator such as flow restrictions?
:thankyou2:

that's kinda what I was guessing most would say, if ya dump the pump might as well dump the rest while your at it.

The stock lines are way to small to move any volume through.
The FASS is the best by far...just make sure you get the right model for your truck.
The more stock crap you can get rid of, the better.

I used the stock regulator. Well...the housing anyway. There's plenty of room inside it for fuel to flow to upgraded lines to the heads.
I did gut the spring and stuff out of it to make it flow-through so I could use an adjustable regulator on the return side.
I'm a fan of getting rid of everything that's stock...but I'm also a fan of finding stuff the works on the cheap...and the way I had it set up worked perfectly.
