factory trans cooler

there isnt anything special to takin it off right? i wanna remove it and install an aftermarket one. what size trans cooler should i run and should i just mount it under the truck with a small electric fan?

it should not be difficult. you will want to get an installation kit with a thermostatic control switch for the fan, and ensure that the thing is shielded from road debris and still has enough open area for adequate air flow

yea thats what i was gonna do. i just didnt know if it would be best to put it under the truck or up front by the radiator and intercooler. i dont have an a/c condensor anymore.. took all that chit off.

i'm thinking about putting a bigger one on also but if they do require a temperature to shift correctly i'm not puttin one on

guess ill just go ahead and remove the factory one and install the one i had bought for my other truck awhile back that i never used. ill just keep an eye on my trans temps. if they are too low.. ill put a smaller one on.. if they are too high.. go bigger.
