Ever since putting on this new S-465 turbo I cannot stay on top of it at all, it will fall on its face at the end of the pull die. I used to have a S-300 and blew it up from over spooling it. I can get about 5400 RPM out of the engine and will drop clear down to about 3500RPM after leaving the line. I have enough fuel going to it for sure, and I have checked the plumbing and have made sure if there is any exhaust leaks or intake leaks, and there is none. But The only thing that might be the culprit is my stock cam. Do you think this could cause this? I thought it should still be able to keep it lit though? Bigger problems?

4:10 gears...dana 80/ dana 60...1995'... 5 speed haisley dual disk....12mm pump, 5k RPM springs..5X018 injectors .120 lines... 32 degrees timing...and chris at E.D didnt really tell me the size of the housing...i know its a 2.6 inducer...and a 1.0 exhaust housing....T-4 flange....

What gear are you pulling in with that 5-spd? The stock cam is probably whats hurting it.

Maybe your timing is too high? 32° may be a bit much. Maybe try it down around 25-28° for a pull and see how it does. Have you checked for boost leaks? I am running 25° with a very similar setup to yours and have no trouble staying on top of it. I have a .90 exhaust housing though.

Id definately drop the timing down before i chased other things. Try 26* and see what you get.

Yea I usually pull in 2nd high...but now have to pull in 3rd low...but even in that gear it wont stay on top of it. But I will drop the timing a bit and see what that does. Thanks guys!

did you change cc's of fuel when you changed turbochargers, could possibly be flooding it out if so. that turbo is going to have a later power band in the rpm range with a bigger housing. specs on the turbo would help us help you. i would for sure try bumping the timing down and i would say your in need for a camshaft as your next modification anyways. just my .02!

Manual Ppump I would run the 1.0. Try the timing first, and if backing it down some doesn't help hold the rpm down the track then drop to the .90.

OKey thanks guys. I will change the timing, and try it out this weekend at the Jamboree in Springfield, IL and see what it does. Thanks again.
