Anybody have suggestions for removing the stock line atop the fuel tank? I didn't remove the bed and this little line is a b*^%$ to get off!

It doesn't want to budge with both tabs depressed; it feels like the elbow wants to come off, not the line.

Suggestions? Many thanks

The tab on the bottom is some what of a booger. Even with my bed off I still had to take a small flat screwdriver to press it in enough to pop the line off. Good luck man. Just be patient and relax when you get the tabs depressed enough it will slide right off. Don`t force it

Thanks farmer,

Decided to have a beer and regroup when the fuel tank is lighter ... will drop it and go from there.

Not quite the marvel of engineering.

I assume we are talking about the Dorman fittings. I built a tool to help me int he shop, but a simple zip tie around just the tabs will do the trick. Make sure you push in on the fitting first and make sure you pull it straight off.

It can be a bit of a bear, but I disconnect all the fittings before the tank is dropped at all.

Got around to it last week and forgot to update in case anyone cares ...

Dropped the driveshaft so I could get my head in there and see the clip. Used needle nose pliers and the line came right off.

Thanks to those who replied :Cheer:
