ok i know i should of got an air dog. after ive had to get 2 rebulid pumps! but what would make the motor on the pump heat up its really hot. how hot should it get. its a 220 @45psi .trust me i hate it but if i can keep this one a little im going to buy air dog.:bang

45psi is probably what's killing it. When I ordered my Fass, they told me they only had one pump that was good for 40psi and up. It was the 90GPH one. I have a Titanium 95gph on my 6.7 and the motor on the 90gph pump for my dakota was about an inch and a half longer then the 95gph pump.

I have a titanium, 180gph at 45 psi that three years old and no problems. Was the pump meant for 40 psi??

What # filters do you run? If you have something too tight on the suction side it will kill any pump. How's your wiring? Too much voltage drop in the wiring will cause the pump to pull excess amps and shorten it's life. Is it blowing fuses? What size fuse are you using? Is the suction line clear and free flowing? Drawstraw? What size suction line? Have you talked with FASS' tech support? They should be walking you through what to check.

In response to khaoskustoms' comment as a general FYI: FASS uses at least an "A" (larger displacement IIRC) and a "B" (smaller IIRC) actual pump, and at least two motor sizes. If you use the A pump with the little motor (150GPH) you can get good flow, but the motor isn't big enough to reliably handle high pressure. The little motor is fine at high pressure with the little pump (95GPH). To get the high pressure and high flow you need to use a larger motor and a larger pump.
The 220 should be the larger motor so that should not be the problem, but it is worth checking as sometimes things can accidentally get incorrectly boxed.

its rated for 45psi and i buy there filters ,wiring seems good ill post the voltage tomorrow. 30 amp fuse. ive done every thing they say

What happens if you put a smaller fuse in? Does it pop it instantly? I've used a 15 amp fuse for the last four years without blowing one (the fuse holder on the other hand melted apart a long, long time ago)
