few s480 ?'s

Just wondering where the best place to buy a s480 was. Is the s480 going to be the best thing to throw under a 62/13/71? Also what would be the better trubine wheel 87 or 96. They will be going on a 97 12v 5spd. The head has o-rings and studs, is that going to be enough to handle these chargers. Right now i push the 62/13/71 to arround 55 Psi, but its gated at 42.

What do you want to really do with the truck? Your 62 would be fine over the top of a 480 but im not a big fan of the the SS housing. If you do go with the 480 I would not go over an 87 wheel in the back. It will spool real slow and would not be worth it with your 62 on top anyway. JMHO

The Browns are making 1200ish HP with a 62 on top, thats with HUGE turbine on the primary of their 510.

A 480 with a 96 wheel will spool just fine. 62 over a 480 is a pretty nice set up for street/strip use. A 62 is a bit small for purpose built race setup.

i think i made a deal with toolman for his s480 with race cover and ceramic housing. I will just have to see how i like it. it will be the first twins setup i have ran so i hope my stock bottom end with 188k is up to it.
