Back at the Franklin, IN pull the truck was running good and had a pretty nasty bounce. It died about 200 feet and was locked up tight as all get out. Well today I finally got the two piece cam out with a 8lb sledge and a D80 axle shaft. Cam was welded to the block at the 3,4 and 5 journal and broke right behind the 4th journal. Cam gear had sheared off key and spun on nose of cam. I was running around 5000rpm under load with the bounce. It was a Haisley Big Intermediate with no bushings. Also running crappy oil. The moral of the story is run good oil no matter the cost, probably would have saved the motor to pull again another day.

So its gonna get back up and running????

Hope I dont do that....running close to the same cam! Thing was running good til it blew though!

Matt, is Decatur having there pulls wed.? Sam said they were not. I also heard the the bloomington pulls you had to live in the county. I hope thats not right.

Boss - will be running soon, hopefully... thanks I had just installed a big intercooler and I was also impressed with how it was running, once I got all the cooler boots to hold...

Decatur is exhibition only for Diesel is what I was told.

Mclean County pull is always a guessing game, depends on who runs it, usually they let all surrounding counties pull as well.

Moly will be in large quantities know, gonna run Schafers...

Well at least you found the problem, Did you get that other cam bought? I figured out the regular cab blew the gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbo yesterday so im guessing that was my main problem, Put the word out about Green county next thursday should be a good time.

can i send some mail to my sisters house in Champaign in my name and say I moved there to pull ? LOL
Let me know when theres dually friendly pulls near Champaign and ill come over
