Hooked it tonight in street trim, added some air to the bags and that was it. It has 5X.016 injectors, cam, 18* timing, 5k gsk, 0 plate, afc work 2.8 S400, and a regulated return fuel system. It only wanted to free rev to 4k and carried 3500 down the track with 55lbs of boost.

It's only got a couple hundred miles on it since I finished the project. Everything went rather smooth. I'm going to try loosening the gov springs and give it some more timing. Might get to hook again Friday.

No one else wanted to play in the hot street class so I hooked by my self. Hard to tell how well it did with little to compare it to.

Id bump the timing up to around 25* or so. Are you loosening the springs so that it will start better? The looser they are the less it will fuel up top.

So far how are you liking it?

Eric

I like it so far, seems to run pretty well. If I flip the button in the cam gear it will put me to 27*. I was thinking looser would get more rpm's. Guess I had it backward. It may just be in the timing. Everyone said it had plenty fuel.

Well, as long as wheel speed is good, I wouldnt worry a lot about the RPM you are carrying as as long as it isnt killing out too easily. You know that though.

Tightening the springs will get you some more fuel/RPM up top. Taking the timing up to 25+* will help a lot on the top, and should bring EGT down a good bit. I know on Teddy Bears truck, he had it at 20*, and got me to set it at 25*. We went for a ride and it brought the EGT's down a good bit, and pulled stronger up top, so its definately worth a shot.

Tighten those springs until its miserable to drive, thast about right.

Any hopping?

No Gene it was real smooth. I know of at least one person with a video camera that was there. I'll see if they taped it.
