I got to hook at Sussex NJ for the first time last week and I wound up 3rd which I am happy about. The thing I am not happy about is the front tires were shimmying down the track which caused me to head towards the out of bounds and have to get out of the throttle for a split second and lose ground speed and distance. I was wondering if anybody had any input on what might be causing it, or how to fix it. Any pointers on lighting my charger quicker would be appreciated too. Thanks:Cheer:

My god did you go threw a full tank of fuel before you left the line..!?!? And what were your egt's when u left the line..lol

Looser converter and less lowend fuel will help out.

What kind of front differential? Condition of trackbar, tie-rod ends, steering box? And what tire pressures?

LOL....I knew that was coming! The EGT were at 1400 when the charger lit, after that I couldnt tell ya, been told NOT to look at it going down the track

As far as front end, it has a D50 with a manual locker operated with a slider in the cab. The track bar is aftermarket adjustable and in good shape, ran 30pounds in the front tires. Honestly I have not had a chance to check the front end for wear just yet.........will report back on that.

What size charger and what fueling mods? It's been awhile since I've seen one take that long to light. Looked like a pretty decent pull once she started down the track.

lower your fuel and you'll build more heat quicker and get more power. with that much your more than likely cooling your cylinders with fuel.

Thanks! 2.8 GT42R, dragon flows, full cuts, .093 lines. The truck was bought like this so I am not sure of timing, or GSK....just tryin to get it dialed in a little bit better

Is that Travis Reed's old truck? If so call Lamar or Ladell at East Coast Diesel thye did alot of the work on it, they should be able to tell you what would work best. It always did take a bit to spool on the line
