So I still have VE pump and don't tow that heavy
Prob make less then 400hp/800tq

I have eatin one stock with the 46rh

And two "updated" versions with the 47rh

Couldn't afford the DTT flexplate last time the tranny piled up.

100% going in now , and the 215p-pump

At least when sh*ts blowing up then I have an excuse:doh:

i use a stocker with an insert from phil at DPC..
Haven had an issue.

I guess I don't understand this poll.

Will the stock ones break? Yes.

Are there flexplates that will hold the power? Yes.

Should you find the relatively small amount of money it takes to purchase a better flexplate? Yes.

I haven't run mine yet but I paid 119 for my laminated one and quality is top notch on it.

So they're too inexpensive not to get one.

I agree there may be other issues to trash that many plates, but I'd be damned if I'd put another stock one after breaking just one.

Doesn't source have a laminated one fairly cheap?? Where are you guys finding them for $120??

Bought a BD one today for $400

I just wanted to see how many actually break

Iam #3. And yes I know I should have bolted a good one in last time.

I spun the center on a billet aluminum, and cracked the center on a DTT steel plate. DTT backed up the steel one, I haven't made massive power with that steel plate, maybe just a fluke.

I can get you a steel sfi cert plate that you wont break for $150. Don't see the point of the expensive billet aluminum ones, they're not any lighter.

Just got the newest Prw billet flexplate with the 29.3sfi cert for 300 shipped.

Ive ripped the center out of a stock one just doing a 20mph roll on. Replaced it with a 4mm thick one piece and havent had any problems. Been running it a couple years now.

You need to index the trans to make sure it is centered on the engine.
Are the alignment pins in it?
Do you tighten each converter bolt as you put them in or do you get them all in, then go around it torquing them last?

i tore the centers out of two ats billet flex plates. got a suncoast billet one and havnt had a problem since.

Just finally got time to year into it.

I got the converter bolts out and it appears there is little to no clearance between converter and flexplate .

Couldn't drop the trans because it got dark tomorrow we will see.
