ive heard before about their big rig dyno...and how it will load a 1000hp road tractor til it damn near stalls.

is that something that could be used on BIG turbo pulling truck for in chassis engine tuning and applying loads? was always curious about that.

Gotta love the old school 3408 Caterpiller.

Nice. Thanks for the pics. I like me some big trucks:)

Atrims dyno day is great fun. Did they feed you?

That KW with the primer hood is a friend of mines truck. The old 3406B put down 1162 that day. They put up some videos on you tube of that day if any one is interested, shows the burnout contest.

was it just stated the the 3408 made 1258? that doesn't seem right to me..

I think That truck pulls around here at the local fairs.....

If it is,,Its sure a runner!!!!

I watched him pull at the Indiana County Fair about 2 years ago, (pretty sure Yosemite Sam is the part I remember as he flew down the track) I think he had a bit more motor than the other trucks in that class, he went over 600 feet, and the only reason he stopped was as he took it around the bend of the track, they were parking Fair goers in the infield, and he would've hit the cars. He was more than 100' ahead (if not more) than 2nd place.
Insane.

Easier to get fuel out of a Bosch pump than a Cat. The 3406 has a Robert Bosch pump from a Mack on it.
