Ford Diesel motors 6.0L OR 6.4L ??

Hi I Have A 2004 6.0l Power Stroke Turbo Diesel With 56,000 Miles The Shop Tells Me That I Need A Short Block Now.
Are The 2005 - 2007 6.0l Motors Any Better ??
Or The New 6.4l Motors ..

6.4's like any new engine will have problems. Are they the same problems as the 6.0? Only time will tell.

The 05-07 motors are better.

But first off, when did you buy your truck? An 04 should still have its 5 year 100,000 mile warrenty. I would check into that before spending any money.

I would hope they would replace it under warranty, if not, tell them they can have the whole dang thing back!
