Ford factory stereo AUX button

On a 2007 F-250 with the factory 6 disc CD, there is an AUX button on the right side. How do I make use of it?

I assume I have to get to the back of the head unit. What am I going to see back there?

Does the whole dash bezel need to come out, or is it like earlier years (2003 could just pull the stereo out without removing the dash)?

If it has an aux port on the front, I would assume its for that.

That's why I ask, there is nothing on the stereo or dash anywhere that appears to be related to the button.
