Ford powerstroke 6.0 turbo queries

Hey paul if you want a good oil that will last long i would recomend amsoil. you can buy the jugs of 15w-40 in 2.5 gal incruments. But the thing is when using amsoil it is a synthetic oil so they recomend using an amsoil filter, which i would as well. When using amsoil you can run your truck up to 7000-10000 miles with out an oil change!!! Its great stuff
 
i run the diesel power additive through every tank. that or the ford brand additive seem to work the best mileage wise. i know to take off the filter you need a metric 36 socket and for the drain plug its a 19mm i believe.
36mm is also the same size as the underbody fuel filter cap.
 
Don't forget about Mobil 1 5w-40 turbo diesel synthetic. 20K worth of changes on it, no issues.
