Ford Tempo Diesel

I recently found an 84 with the mazda diesel in it. The owner says its running but needs an inspection brakes and tires....

I am not familiar with this mazda engine at all. Does anyone have some insight on what to look for in particular on it? I have read about the water in oil problem and how easily the head can warp but anything else?

Glowplugs and timing belt can be an issue, other than the general lack of power.

Yea I defiantly wasn't buying it for the power, just a cheap ass DD that trumps the 17 mpg the truck gets me.
