FP gauge issue

so im on my second fuel pressure gauge and this one is now failing, it just jumps all over the place. Just curious what the fix for this is

2002 24v vp
Airdog 100

Where is the line attached to read pressure? Are you using a snubber? What type of gauge?

first gauge that failed was a pricol, and now a glowshift. The gauge is aprox at the stock fuel canister but the canister is bypassed since im running a AD100 quick connect with 1/2'' line. Whats this snubber you speak of?

sweet thanks for the info! Snubber is ordered. So then there is prolly a chance that the old gauge never really failed?

No, it's probably dead. It's called water hammer, the pulses from the ip opening and closing beat the gauge to death.

Then a grease gun hose into that, then a WH6820 needle valve from napa, then from that a fuel line straight to an ISSPRO gauge. Works perfect for me.

we see that all the time on Volvo common rail pressure sensors, the hammering effect from constant pressure change will kill it quick as hell..
