In my Ppump I have the metal bushings that allow you to free rev your motor to whatever you want. I don't like it and I have a set of 5k gsk. I'm wondering if you can just pull the bushings out and put the springs in or was there modifications made where the gsk won't fit

pictures of the bushing?
I am not sure what you're talking about. Does it go in place of the springs to keep fueling the same through rpms?

I don't have any pictures I bought the pump with them in it for my pull truck and I would like 5k springs so I wouldn't over rev the motor crazy. Yes they in place of the gsk and allow you to fuel the motor to whatever rpm your motor can take

When I did mine a few years back you take all the springs out except the outside spring if I remember right, then put back a .500" long piece of 1/4" pipe. I had to play with the length a little to get it to idle. It will basically let the auto gov run away off of idle. Nothing was changed other than that so shouldn't be any reason your gsk won't go back in.
