Buddy of mine has the freeze plug leaking on the back of the head. Says it is a small plug, about 3/8" or so. Local shops want to pull the head to put it in. I say "Come On!" , you have to be kidding me right? Well......no time and its about 65 miles away, but I still want to help him out if I can. Anyone have a pic of a 24V head where this plug is? Anyone ever have to replace this plug and have any pointers? Thanks in advance!

it's in a tough spot... not sure if you can do it with the head on... someone must have those skills. i'd F it up.

If this thread were up last week I would have taken pics with the head off, to show you were it is and and then were its located in relation to the firewall. If there is any kind of corrosion in there, I would imagine it would be almost impossible to get out with the head on.

Thanks for the pic! Had me a little confused for a second until I flipped it!

We are trying to do one of these in truck right now (the plug on the pass side rear) I will let you know how it goes.

I appreciate it very much ! I don't think getting it out is gonna be the problem............getting it started on the other hand..........
