looking to take my fass 150 w/filters system off my truck and replace it with a airdog or same size or larger. could i use same pick up tube, lines to pump, any other assorted line or electrical connections on the airdog, or would i have to run all new lines/electrical hook-ups? also if i can use the same fuel lines, can i just buy the pump from pure flow or not?

i think the fass pump is getting weak, or something. its groans and sounds like it cuts out or skips a beat. fuel pressure is good while driving and idle, always 15-17 psi. but when the pump does the skip pressure will fluctuate a psi or 2. i dont ahve the paperwork for the fass so i can get it warrantied.

My FASS hasn't been up to my liking from day one, I got tired of paying shipping and installing a draw straw that made no difference. I too will be trying an airdog, most likely when I do my 4x4 conversion AKA frame swap.

Just curious, what model FASS do you have?

You are switching just because of a 1-2 PSI bump? Any brand will do that

if its giving you any problems at all thats reason enough in my book. The pump should be constant ans steady with no hickups... especialy when they cost that much money

im not b*tching about the 1-2 psi flux, its the pump sounds like its about to take a crap, just dont want to be driving and the fass stop working. i have a fass 150 with the filters, not sure of a model # i can go look if its that important

Why would you want to trade a pump that's going bad to someone and make it their problem? Can't you buy a rebuild kit for the fass and do it over a weekend?

not going to trade the pump to anybody. going to buy a new pump and throw the old fass away, and i cant have the truck down for a weekend without a lift pump on while im rebuilding it. just looking to see if i can swap out pumps and my fass lines would work, i work out of my truck and work whenever the weather permits. ( logging/sawmill) so my truck is necessary to drive 7 days a week.

they should if the fittings are the same if not you should be able to swap the fittings out of the old pump into the new pump

Is the pump varying when your grid heater cycles by chance? It could just be u got some piss poor grounding... That's easy to check and fix.

The only fittings I was able to reuse on your truck was the fitting at the injection pump. Everything else was different.

I went from an airdog 150 to a FASS 220 and was able to use most the old airdog lines and pretty much just swap the pumps and the fittings at the pump.

Mine is doing the same thing. It has been doing it for about a year. Crossing my fingers it doesnt quit!

They all have problems, I have replaced several airdogs recently due to bad windings in the motors!

If your serious about throwing it out I'll take it, shipping isn't that bad across the border lol
