Front axle has lots of side to side movement

I have a 2005 2500 4x4 and I have been dealing with the death wobble for a while now and got it to stop with the steering brace but now its back again. I looked under the truck while I had someone turn the wheel and the entire front axle moves a couple of inches to each side while the wheel turns. I was wondering if this was my problem and how I could go about fixing it.

I made mine with 3/4" x 3/4" heims, and they work awesome, but since I live in a cold area where they use salt, I only get about 1.5-2 years out of them before I have to replace them. Luckily they're only about $15 a piece from ruffstuff.

I'd also recommend a bushing at the frame side to eat up some road input if you daily drive it.

I had the same issue, I just upgraded the bushings in the factory one to moogs

^ Same here. I don't see any need for an aftermarket one unless your truck is lifted.

I would say track bar as well neighbor had the same issues with his.

That heim only comes in the 16 mm though. I didn't know that so I drilled out the axle holes and used a 16mm bolt

WRONG

It is available with either the 14MM or the 16MM spacers

I am running a Carli bar, with the EMF joint, and drilled out my track bar bracket for the larger 16MM bolts

Rock solid


The Carli track bar mount, Carli track bar, and EMF heim joint are all very nice and solid!
