front axle

I broke/bent the acuator on the front axle disconect again on my 96 dodge saturday night. I know the 02 dodges dident have the disconect my question is can you just swap in an 02 axle shaft into a 96 axle if so what parts are needed?? I know that I could just fix the stuff I have and should be ok I know guys running the same parts with 2X the power but the truck needs both shafts the coller and all of the acuator, so I would just as soon elimanate the problem as to fix the problem.:thankyou2:

I doubt they are the are swap in... In fact I'm pretty sure they aren't.

I believe Dynatrac has replacement axles with a CAD eliminator. I don't think '02 axles will work.

I found more great news on the way home last night. when I broke the cad it must have shocked the drivetrain and broke the spider gears in the rear end. I thought that I was allright since I dident hardly feal it break going down the track
