im having problems having the crank seal sealing in this billet cover. ive done it twice now using a regular cummins seal. next one i try will be a speedy sleeve seal, if this dont do it then im gnna say its a machining problem. does anybody run one of these billet covers and if so have you had the same problem with the seal? any advice would be appreciated. thanks

mine was from scheid, I had to flap wheel the seal bore out in the cover. I think it was fitting to tight and distorting the seal. I dont exactly know but seems to be sealing now.

I'd mic the bore & throat depth of the billet cover to check if there's a clearance issue.

To much, I think I have a way of doing the same thing that should be done next week.

They allow access to the pump gear so you can change the timing for those with an adjustable pump gear. Some have integrated a support bearing for the front of the Cam. You can also mount a mechanical fuel pump on the cover.
