Is it possible to change this seal without removing the gear cover? I should have put in a new one when I had the cover off but I didnt and now it leaks.

Also what Gear oil is best for the front and rear diff? :thankyou2:

I believe not. If I recall (its been a long time) I think it has to come off. Not a bad idea to go ahead and do the cover while your doing it.

I'm pretty sure the front cover has to come off to replace the seal.

For front and rear diff fluids I use amsoil severe gear at what ever weight the factory recomends. If you have a Limited Slip rear diff the amsoil does not require any additive. Just pour the oil in and you'll be fine, other brands of gear oil will require the LSD additive for the LSD to work right.

I'd do it before. My KDP was poking out when I did my cam. I tabbed that sucker.
